Mission Activities Board of Directors Friends Edmond IsraelThe Foundation was created by Cedel International in September 1990 in honour of Edmond Israel, upon his retirement after twenty years as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors which is composed of Jeffrey Tessler (Chairman), André Roelants (Vice-Chairman), Dr Albert Bressand, Dr Helmut Haussmann, Marc Hoffman, Dr Horst Günter Krenzler, Oscar Lewisohn, Dr Thomas Rabe and Jacques Santer.
The Foundation is a non-profit making organisation which has as its object the support and promotion of cultural, scientific, political and economic activities on a European and world-wide scale.
Individuals and organisations can participate in the Foundation via annual contributions, ad hoc donations or sponsorship of specific activities, for example a research project or an educational fellowship for a promising individual. The Foundation is honored that H.E. Dr Angela Merkel, Dr. Javier Solana, H.E. Guy Verhofstadt, Dr. Árpád Göncz, Dr. Willem F. Duisenberg, H.E. Jean-Claude Juncker, H.E. Helmut Kohl, H.E. Jean-Luc Dehaene, and H.E. Jacques Santer have accepted the 'Vision for Europe' award in recognition of their outstanding achievements in taking Europe into the future.
